Ofsted Regulation
The WASPS is fully regulated by Ofsted. We adhere to all guidance, standards, and recommendations set out by Ofsted to ensure the highest level of care, safety, and quality in our provision. We remain committed to ongoing compliance and continuous improvement in line with Ofsted’s expectations.
Staff Vetting and Checks
To ensure a safe and secure environment for all children in our care, all staff members are required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to employment. Where applicable, we also carry out relevant international background checks for individuals who have lived or worked abroad, in accordance with government guidance.
These checks are in place to verify that each member of our team is suitable and safe to work with children and to support the wellbeing of both children and fellow staff members.
Qualifications and Supervision
All staff employed at The WASPS are suitably qualified for their roles, with experience and training relevant to working in a childcare setting. Ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported to maintain high standards of care and education.
Staff are overseen by senior managers at all times to ensure accountability, consistency in practice, and to uphold safeguarding and quality standards across the setting. Regular supervision and team meetings support this oversight and promote effective communication and continuous improvement.
